Adopt a Trail
Is there a particular trail in our service area that you ride most frequently? Would you like to be assigned a trail to ride and report conditions on? Participate in our Adopt a Trial initiative. Reach out to Janey Lynch, Terri Haver or Joanne Mitchell for more information about Adopting a Trail. Email: sappbchtrails@gmail.com | terri.haver@gmail.com | jfgmhorse@gmail.com
Submit Trail Reports
If you ride it, let us know! We dispatch trail conditions to our members and alert the trail crews to problem areas. We value all trail reports, even if a trail is clear.
Share your photos and updates on our Facebook group
Our efforts are usually directed to the Ocoee, Hiwassee, and Tellico ranger districts in the Cherokee National Forest. Trail conditions beyond the Cherokee NF in the Southern Appalachian Region are accepted. Please provide the trail name, time and date, weather conditions, as many details as possible regarding location of any downed trees, wildlife sightings, or specific areas requiring attention. Photos encouraged.

Sawyer Certification & Continuing Education
Did you know? In order to operate a chainsaw in a Forest Service district, you must possess a valid sawyer certification
SABCH is committed to connecting members with continuing education opportunities. Members will be alerted about sawyer certification courses in our area in our newsletter and at meetings. Is there a topic related to trail work, trail riding, or conservation you would like to learn more about? Make a suggestion for a club-sponsored group education event. We want to hear from you!
Odd Month Events
In person board & member meetings are held every Even Month (February, April, June, August, October, December)
In an effort to sustain member engagement throughout the year, we sponsor Odd Month activities as interest is demonstrated. Odd Month activities are in the form of cookouts, tack swaps, or joining other conservation organization sponsored events. Do you have an idea for an Odd Month activity? Let us know!
